Expression of Interest

Child protection is essential for the attainment of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In order to meet the SDGs globally, India’s progress in achieving the goals focused on women and children is strategically important. India is also uniquely placed as an example among the developing countries for upholding the rule of law through its legal regime including robust policies, budgetary allocations for institutional development, and by building the capacity of all stakeholders. To supplement the efforts being made by the Government of India, an integral role can be played by grassroots-level interventions of non-governmental and community-based organisations.

Just Rights for Children, UK (JRC) is a registered under the Charity Commission for England and Wales and works to ensure the law protects children and prosecutes crimes against them, including child marriage, trafficking and sexual abuse.

Working in India, JRC through its Access to Justice for Children programme aims to create an ecosystem to end violence against children, with a focus on preventing child sexual abuse, through legal interventions and community engagement.

JRC provides support to NGOs to supplement, augment, and complement the efforts being made by the Government of India in the field of child protection.

Just Rights for Children, UK is dedicated to supporting the implementation of the existing Indian laws and ensuring that children are provided with the rights and services guaranteed by the Indian Constitution, various legal provisions of the Government of India and various State Governments.

This Expression of Interest (EoI) invites ONLY FCRA-registered NGOs to apply to work in any district across any State and Union Territory of India as JRC believes no child should be left behind and is committed to protecting children from exploitation irrespective of geography.
